Super Bowl 45 Preview
Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Green Bay Packers
Cowboys Stadium – Arlington, TX

Onion News posted an article yesterday that said it best - ”Super Bowl Still Hasn’t Happened yet”…”Despite the overwhelming media hype, countless interviews with players and coaches, and considerable speculation about the big game since the conference champions earned Super Bowl berths nearly two weeks ago, Super Bowl XLV still hasn't happened yet”. As usual, it’s been a massive build up. Tonight the Pittsburgh Steelers and Green Bay Packers battle it out for the ultimate football trophy in front of over 100 million U.S. viewers and millions more around the world.
The Packers (10-6) were on and off in 2010. Their longest winning streak was 4 games during the regular season. After two late losses – including a 7-3 fall to the Detroit Lions – the Packers found a way to take care of business and extend their season. They beat Philadelphia, Atlanta, and Chicago in their postseason run to find themselves where they are today. Aaron Rodgers is 312 of 475 (putting his completion rate close to 66 percent) for 3,922 yards, 28 TDs, and 11 interceptions.
The Steelers (12-4) had a slightly more consistent run than Green Bay in 2010. They won their last two regular season games convincingly before knocking off the Ravens and claiming dominance over the same New York Jets team that beat them late in December. Roethlisberger is completing over 61 percent of his passes (240 of 389) for 3200 yards, 17tds, and 5 interceptions.
Green Bay is favored by 3 points. The total is listed at 45.5. There are plenty of reasons why this game could go either way. The team with the least errors will take the win. Stay away from the spread and take under in this one.
This Year’s halftime show will feature the Black Eyed Peas. Super Bowl XLV coverage will begin at noon on Sunday.
