2010 NFL PREVIEW
MIAMI DOLPHINS
2009 Record: 7-9
Head Coach: Tony Sprano
After an 11-5 season in 2008, a seven win record wasn’t quite what the Dolphins were going for in 2009. For Miami fans, a sweep of the Jets (who nearly managed to make it to the Super Bowl), made it worth something. Bill Parcells and Tony Sparano believe that 2010 might be the season they’ll be contending to play in the Super Bowl. Even considering the strength of their conference, the Dolphins productive offseason might help make this the case. Their two big moves were WR Brandon Marshall and LB Karlos Dansby. Add QB Chris Henne into the equation (who will be coming back to enter his second year of real NFL experience), and the return of RB Ronnie Brown (who sat out nearly half of the season due to injury) and there’s good reason to be optimistic. That is, of course, as long as Henne can find a way to keep his interceptions down.
The Miami Dolphins start off their preseason in-state as they take on Tampa Bay at home on August 14th and then play at Jacksonville the following week. They then play Atlanta and Dallas before their first regular season game at Buffalo on September 12th.
