Tom Brady is Back

Brady’s Back

Week one of the 2009 NFL season won’t lack drama.  Super Bowl Champs, Pittsburgh Steelers, will host the Titans on Thursday September 10th to start the season.   Can they win it again?  No doubt they’ll be fun to watch, but the spotlight might be on the New England Patriots during week one instead.  Tom Brady’s back.  The Patriots, being favored to win the Super Bowl last year before Brady went down, will be the team to watch.

Tom Brady, Regarded by many as one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, went down last year after a knee injury during week one.  With recovery complete, he’ll be back behind the center when New England takes on Baltimore on the 14th of September.  Still, questions remain.  Will we see the same quarterback that we did in 2007?  Will the chemistry be intact?  Is the February 2008 Super Bowl loss to the Giants still fresh? MCL/ACL returns are difficult.  Is Brady at 100 percent yet?

The Patriot’s first two regular season game should answer at least a few of our questions.  Week 1 - We’ll see an interesting Monday Night Football matchup as the Patriots take on the Bills and wide receiver Terrell Owens at Gillette Stadium.  Week 2 – The Patriots face one of their biggest rivals, the New York Jets.  By week 3, we should know what to expect.
