Holiday Bowl: Nebraska Cornhuskers vs. Arizona Wildcats
Wednesday, December 30, 2009
The 9-4 Nebraska Cornhuskers will take on the 8-4 Arizona Wildcats tonight at 8:00 PM EST. Nebraska comes in with the number 2 overall ranked defense in the FBS, led by Heisman candidate Ndomukong Suh. The line came out on this one at Arizona -2 and the public has slowly bet it all the way to Nebraska -3. This has been one of the biggest line shifts of the bowl season, a total of a five point swing. The total is set at 41 points and is one of the lowest of the Bowl Games. This is due, of course, to Nebraska giving up less than 12 points per game. Arizona's offense is averaging right around 27 points per game.
In their last games, Nebraska lost a close one to Texas and Arizona beat USC. Nebraska lost 13-12 and Arizona won 21-17. Nebraska's offense will have to muster more than the four field goals it manufactured against Texas. And you can pretty much count on a defensive score. All that being said, we like Nebraska. Although we were able to get it at a "Pick em'" earlier in the month.
