Top ranked Kansas travels to Oklahoma to take on Oklahoma State in this Big 12 match up.  The Jayhawks come in with a healthy 27-1 record to face a 19-8 basketball team.  The spread currently is Kansas -5.5.  Why is Kansas only favored by less than three baskets you may ask.  Because this is the classic let down spot that all top ranked teams in years past have lost outright.  They are looking forward to conference and NCAA tourneys and forgetting to show up and play the team at the tail end of their schedule.  But let me say this, Kansas is a very well prepared basketball team and I don't necessarily see the let down in their future.

After Ok. State, the Jayhawks end the season against rivals Kansas State and Missouri as they attempt to join their 2001-02 squad as the only teams from any school to finish unbeaten in regular-season Big 12 play. The Jayhawks are 13-0 this season in the Big 12.

Kansas will face an Oklahoma State team featuring the Big 12's leading scorer James Anderson (22.5 ppg).  However, Anderson is coming off a lowly 14 point game against in the Cowboys' loss at Texas Wednesday night.  The difference in these teams is that Oklahoma State has a standout player and Kansas has great play from all starting five with it's leading scorer averaging just over 15 pts. per contest.

Now to the betting aspect of things.  Kansas is just 1-7 of it's last 8 game ATS.  And Oklahoma State is an impressive 5-1 in their last 6 ATS.  And Okie State is an amazing 22-1 of it's last 23 at home.  So judging by these trends it should Be Ok State +5.5 in a no brainer, right?  Wrong. We can't help it. We are taking the number 1 team in the country on the road and we think Coach Bill Self will make a special point to beat this team soundly.  We say take the favs -5.5.
