The 21-55 Toronto Raptors travel to NY to take on the 38-30 Knicks at Madison Square Gardens. Both teams are coming off wins.  The Raptors beat the Orlando Magic as ten point underdogs and the Knicks defeated the hapless Cleveland Cavaliers and covered a 12.5 point spread.  Against the spread this year, the Raptors are 33-41-2. The Knicks are 42-32-2 ATS.

The Knicks average almost 7 points more per contest than the Raptors on offense.  Defensively, both teams allow an awful 105 points.  The New York Knicks are probably going to make the playoffs. They are currently in the seventh spot on the East side for the 8 playoffs seeds.  They are 1.5 games back of the 6 seed spot and 1.5 game lead above the 8th seed spot.  They have not quite been the team everybody thought they would be at this point since adding Carmelo Anthony to a cast that already included Amare Stoudamire.  But when the playoffs start, everyone is 0-0 and so begins a fresh new start.

Since suffering a team depleting off season, which included to the loss of all star Chris Bosh, the Raptors have been abysmal.  Their 21-55 record makes them the third worst team in the East and the fourth worst team in the entire league.  Keeping a lone NBA team in Toronto is hard enough even if they are winning.  But now that they are a terrible team again, you can consider the countdown to the Raptor franchise leaving started.
