Last of the First Half
This being the precipice of the all-star game, let's see some last minute match ups taking place this weekend:
St. Louis at Cubs
The Cubs are bad at home, vs. teams with winning records. They are 15-22. The average scores is Cubs 3.9 and opponent 5.1. The fact is the Cubs are a very mediocre team right now that is loaded with talent. So unless thing s change it should be an easy series for the Cards.
Washington at Houston
Washington is just pretty bad. They ar 25-60 with a league worst -30 units on the season ATML (Against the Money Line). Houston is a .500 team at 43-43 with some soft spots in the lineup but look for them to make their customary late season surge. Houston should sweep this series.
Cincy at Mets
CINCINNATI is 24-47 (-26.6 Units) against the money line vs. terrible power teams - averaging 0.75 or less HR's/game over the last 3 seasons. The average score was CINCINNATI 4.3, OPPONENT 5.6. This one could go either way.
Atlanta at Colorado
Braves are up 1-0 in this series at this point with Jurjjens starting today. We like Atlanta today and maybe for the sweep. Braves just traded away Francouer, which to me is a bone-head move all the way. Even if it was for Ryan Church. It is an obvious cleaning house syndrome and hoping to spark the offense move. |
